Knee Surgery

by on Sep.04, 2009, under Body Health, Yoga

This morning, I trundled down to the O/R of the local orthopedic group (a massive entity, with experts on many joints and moving parts of the human body), underwent anesthesia, and emerged with my new and improved knee. That’s the hope, anyway. At any rate, it has gone, so far, much better than I dared hope. I’m feeling completely normal, no pain at all, have been walking around and engaging in normal activities without any problems. Kind of amazing to me, but I did go into this without any expectations whatsoever beyond the hope that I would recover quickly. I have plenty of pain relievers if necessary, but so far, it seems like things are going quite well. I will certainly have no hesitation about teaching my classes, even though I will probably not be demonstrating any time soon. Teaching is really going well too; giving up that fourth class was a good decision on my part. Listening to Krishna Das right now, and just enjoying the feeling of a pleasant outcome, and the end of a really tough and stressful week.
